Payment Information.
For all services, half the expected payment will be due upon signing the contract. Remainder of payment will be due before 38 weeks. You will receive invoices based on your payment plan. Accepted payment methods include credit card, Venmo and cash. Payment plans available.
Common question.
What will the doula do if I have a partner? The doula will support your partner in supporting you! We can do this by Facilitating communication between you and your partner, Teaching your partner comfort measures, Suggesting additional ways for partner to support you, Giving partner a break, If your partner is overwhelmed or exhausted, they canβt do much good for you. In such moments, your doula can step in and support you while your partner replenishes themself.
No matter how many support people you have, your doula will support you and support them.
Does a doula replace a midwife? No, but a doula and a midwife make a great team!
While a midwife is often willing and able to do everything a doula can, they have an extremely important health and safety role to play during and after the birth. They typically arrive later in labor, as you want them to be fresh and working at their best when baby comes earthside!
Having a doula there to support you for the hours (sometimes many hours!) before you need the midwife means youβre getting oodles more support and encouragement. If thereβs one thing a birthing person canβt get too much of, itβs quality support. Having both a doula and a midwife means soothing, professional support throughout your entire labor.
